AS LEADERS IN INNOVATIVE HEALTHCARE PACKAGING SOLUTIONS, WE WERE SELECTED TO DESIGN AND BUILD THEIR HQ IN MELTON TO HELP ATTRACT AND RETAIN TOP TALENT.

With an ambition and desire to move their business forward to the next phase of growth, Origin were faced with a big challenge of their space being no longer fit for purpose. The office space was tired, with poor utilisation of space, a ground floor that was rarely used due to the space not being designed according to their needs, and a layout that didn't enable collaboration between staff. Realising they had to take action, they reached out for help to completely redesign their space.

FACED WITH COVID RESTRICTIONS, ONE OF OUR CHALLENGES WAS MAINTAINING THE WORK ON SITE TO DELIVER ON TIME.

 

Origin Pharma Packaging is located up north in Melton but wanted to bring a London feel to the design of the space so reached out to Habit Action to understand more about our process and design capabilities.

Once we had engaged with our client, they quickly realised that what set us apart was not only our design talent, but our unique process known to us as evidence-based design. With the help of the Habit Action App, we were able to get under the skin of the problems that lay in the design of the space. Having identified their pain points, Habit Action uncovered problems within the organisation that Origin wasn’t even aware of. We then embarked on an extensive design journey working with the owners of the organisation to create a beautiful space that would set them up for growth.

A LONDON FEEL

One of the biggest challenges of this project was the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic hitting us once the project had started on sight. With limited numbers of tradesmen allowed on site due to the restrictions, we were still able to put processes in place to allow the project to flow smoothly, without disrupting their production spaces.

RESULTS

The results of this project for the client have been phenomenal. Not only has this space enabled them to attract top talent, but it has also had a huge impact on the culture of the business. But most importantly, this space enabled them to grow as a business beyond where they had predicted. Origin have been able to take on more clients and secure new deals as a result of the huge uplift of the space. In fact, the growth has been so significant that they are now having to expand their office and production spaces to keep up with the demand for their product and their rising head count. A true story of success and a journey that Habit Action are honoured to have been a part of.
