AROMABOOTH
AromaBooth: Modular Fragrance Testing Booths
A modular fragrance testing and presentation booth for the fragrance and perfume industry.
Built to give accurate results on real-world products, and an engaging experience for the clients who see them.

Welcome to AromaBooth...
the leading modular fragrance testing booth.
Fragrance rarely behaves the same way in a meeting room as it does in a customer’s home. Porous surfaces hold on to old scents and air drifts in from the rest of the building, so one test can easily colour the next. AromaBooth solves this with a sealed, near non-taintable room built from non-porous materials. Filtration clears the air between tests while temperature and humidity are held steady, so every evaluation starts from the same clean baseline.
AromaBooth Explained:
AromaBooth is both a brand and a product, developed for the flavour and fragrance industry. Each unit can be plumbed with a working shower, bath, toilet or sink, so products are tested in the setting they’re made for: shower gels under running water, toilet cleaners in a working WC. Home fragrance brands can test candles and diffusers with controlled ventilation, and cleaning brands can recreate specific malodours to prove their product deals with them. With a sleek finish that suits a client-facing space, the booth doubles as a presentation room where partners experience a fragrance exactly as their customers will.
"Since using the AromaBooth, we've seen our Fragrance test volumes increase, as well as having the product testing accuracy transform."

Installation requirements
AromaBooth needs to sit in a space where the surrounding air can be controlled. The booth is constructed slab to slab so air from the wider building can’t drift in, and it requires a dedicated exhaust route for clearing scent between tests. Filtration is handled by a B-MOLA unit alongside a charcoal system, with dehumidifiers and anti-room sealing to manage air quality inside.
If you choose a plumbed configuration, the booth will need water supply and drainage connections at the installation point. Temperature is held at around 21°C, so the host room should avoid rapid swings in temperature that would affect testing.
Available configurations
Every AromaBooth starts as a sealed, near non-taintable testing room. From there, it can be configured around the products you need to test:
Fine fragrance and presentation. A clean, neutral room for evaluating fragrance bloom and presenting to clients and partners.
Bathroom testing. Plumbed with a working shower, bath, toilet or sink, so personal care and cleaning products are tested in use. Baths are finished in specialised solid grade laminate, and toilets use a china system with metal seats to avoid scent absorption.
Home fragrance. Controlled ventilation and oxygen flow for testing candles and other home fragrance products.
Malodour testing. For cleaning brands that need to recreate a specific smell and test how well their product removes it.
Humidity levels are set to your own testing requirements.
Maintenance
The ceiling access hatch allows servicing without disturbing the booth’s sealed finishes, and all internal surfaces are non-porous for straightforward cleaning between tests.
Procurement
Each AromaBooth is delivered as a design-and-build project by Habit Action, from initial survey through to installation. Units are priced from £30,000, and you should allow a lead time of at least 12 weeks, driven by the B-MOLA filtration unit.

Hear it from our clients...
Laurelle London:
AromaBooth in a New-Build Fragrance HQ
Laurelle London first came to Habit Action to find out about AromaBooth, and that conversation grew into a complete new-build facility in Canvey Island. Moving out of rented premises, Laurelle needed offices, client spaces, production and testing to work together under one roof, with each area flowing naturally into the next.
In this video, the Laurelle team and Habit Action talk through the design journey, from hygienic cladding in production areas to Crittall-effect glazing in the open-plan office. AromaBooth sits at the heart of the client experience, installed in a dedicated testing room just off the boardroom so clients can move straight from meetings into sampling products.
CPL Aromas:
A Project Manager’s View of Working with Habit Action
James Coley, Senior Partner at chartered quantity surveyors and project managers Ainslie Partners, oversaw the delivery of CPL Aromas’ new office and R&D facility at Marriotts Court. In this video, he explains why Habit Action stood out from the contractors interviewed, and what it was like working alongside the team on a project built from high-specification materials around CPL’s testing processes.
He highlights the team’s willingness to adapt the design to keep the project on programme, along with the depth of expertise from contracts management right through to site. For the first time in his career, the fit-out finished ahead of the main contract works.
