Project Case STUDY
Publicis Sapient, a global leader in digital transformation, sought a high quality, future-ready workplace that would reflect its brand values while enabling agile collaboration and creative problem solving.
The project involved designing and delivering a tailored office furniture and joinery solution that harmonised with the company’s dynamic work culture and the historic character of its Clerkenwell headquarters.
Situated within the iconic Turnmills building, a former Victorian warehouse and stable block, this workplace sits at the intersection of heritage architecture and cutting-edge innovation. The aim was to blend the building’s distinctive industrial character with contemporary, functional, and ergonomically considered furniture solutions that could support both collaborative and focused work.
The project demanded precise coordination between all parties to align design intent, delivery logistics, and installation sequencing, particularly given the constraints of a live operational building in a busy London location.
Working alongside LXA (Project Managers), MSM (Architects), and Publicis Sapient’s internal workplace team, Habit Action was tasked with delivering a complete Cat B furniture scheme for open-plan workspaces, meeting rooms, breakout zones, and tea points.
The brief also included integrating existing furniture from other Publicis Sapient locations into the new scheme to ensure sustainability and cost efficiency. The timeline was particularly challenging, 170 workstations, plus bespoke joinery, had to be delivered, installed, and fully operational within just two weeks.
"Great knowledge and support from Murray and the team to deliver a very fast track CAT B for a prominent digital company"

The design vision was rooted in three key principles: brand integration, flexibility, and harmony with the building’s heritage. Furniture selections reflected Publicis Sapient’s identity, using clean lines, modern forms, and a warm yet professional colour palette. Modular workstations and moveable pieces were introduced to ensure the space could adapt as the company’s needs evolved. Materials and finishes were chosen to complement the exposed brickwork, steel structures, and abundant natural light, creating a seamless dialogue between old and new.
Ready to transform your workspace
Execution required meticulous planning to coordinate phased deliveries, installation sequencing, and quality control checks. Close collaboration with contractors ensured the integration of furniture installation with ongoing fit-out works in a live operational environment. The repurposing of furniture from other locations significantly reduced environmental impact, reinforcing the client’s commitment to sustainable business practices.

The completed workspace is an inviting, agile, and brand-aligned environment that supports Publicis Sapient’s mission of driving digital innovation. The ground floor breakout zone—visible to passersby on Clerkenwell Road—has become a focal point, projecting the company’s energy and collaborative ethos to the surrounding community. By combining heritage architecture, modern ergonomics, and a rapid, high-quality delivery, Habit Action ensured that Publicis Sapient’s Clerkenwell office is both a functional asset and a cultural statement.
